Home – el país de la ilusión
Lilia, a 67-year-old Colombian, has lived in eight countries around the world and is now growing old in Portugal. She has not returned to Colombia for almost 40 years. Why? During her visits to Portugal, Josephine, her daughter, follows Lilia's daily routines with her camera and tries to answer that question. Her gaze seems to provide more answers than her mother's words, as the filmmaker's questions challenge Lilia to define herself.
The film portrays the life of a person whose identity lies between several worlds. The encounter between mother and daughter becomes a revealing dialogue about migration, identity and the sense of belonging.
